Portrait sessions are extra special and mean a little more when the location is a place you hold dear. When Carrie contacted me to do portraits with her and her guys, I was excited. When I found out she wanted to do them at her grandfather's farm, I was pumped.
Having recently passed, I knew that photos at his farm would be bittersweet. As it turned out, it was far more sweet than anything else. Not only did the sun fall behind the mountains in just the right spot, we were able to capture everything within a 40-yard span. Her boys were really fun to work with, and we had some good laughs (staged and real).
